The Centre for Inter-faith Higher Learning is designed to foster harmony and create moments of human interaction to form a prospective united community using a parametric concept of the canopy to create a comfortable and welcoming academic space.
By abstracting nature’s geometrical elements, cubes, the utilization of parametric canopies is formed using grids that undulate throughout the space, providing an integrative learning environment.
From a simple cube form, replicated and extruded to form an undulating pattern on the ceiling, which makes up the tree trunk and canopy. These cubes vary in height, providing a different purpose and ambiance for the different spaces.
